"I want to buy a pair of flip-flops and go to Africa - Home edition", object 2008
A white flip-flop in the centre of a wall mounted aquarium. The white flip-flop is highlighted against the black backdrop. The title written on the background appears in a similar glowing white colour. The aquarium contains the common gravel and water plants as well. The installation is a continuation of the outdoor installation with the same title. As in the previous piece the power relations and the dreams of escape from everyday duties are issues touched upon, in this piece the addressing is more intimate personal.
