Artistgroup Bezdomny and NHR collaboration ,2008
The artist group Bezdomny have a natural link to Neurologiskt handikappades riksförbund (Swedish Neurological disabled association) and a deeper collaboration was formed during 2008. A survey was made of the handicap access to public spaces in Gothenburg. The spaces that didn't stand up to the test were marked out with stickers with crossed over wheelchair-symbols and the text “hit men inte längre” (“no entering”). In another part of the collaboration a papier-mache cave was built, which worked as a flexible exhibition space. In connection to Clandestino musicfestival, we invited electron music group Carson Brainströms and the cave became their stage during their gig at Storan in Gothenburg. The cave was moved outside to the festival-area to house the documentation from the gig on tv-screens.
